What's in a Name? and promises kept

   Does the name 'Rising Phoenix' sound vaguely homosexual to you?  ....yeah, I'm not sure myself, just that someone mentioned it.

Yeah, so about my Hong Kong/GuangZhou trip.... it was really great, I saw a bunch of my aunts and uncles, as well as a bunch of my cousins.  I have pretty much traveled everywhere within the span of ~3 weeks, and ate like crazy.  If anyone plans to go to Hong Kong, I'd recommend it, but not during the summer though (which is why I went during the winter).  What did I do?  Well ...

For the first week, I was in somewhat of a rush going from place to place since I needed to get my new ID card (yes, I have dual citizenship with Hong Kong and US, lucky me).  Since I landed on Saturday night (16 hours on a plane + 13 hour time difference = one jetlagged Simon), and the office wasn't open weekends, I basically had no plans during the weekend.  Luckily, as it so happens, it was December 30th, so the next day, it was the 31st, meaning that it was New Years Eve!, so on the next day (New Years Eve), I walked around the area near my aunt's house (where I stayed), and went to the farmers market place with my mom, picked up some food for her sister.  As soon as we dropped things off, we left again, this time to Hong Kong Island, to Victoria Park to see this expo thing, where I was bombarded with many many things I have no interest in (that's always fun).  My cousin went with me, so it wasn't as boring really.  Afterwards, walked towards Times Square  (was around 4-5ish then), people were already gathering for the countdown, so we fathomed the idea of staying, but since we had to do other stuff first, we didn't.  We went to see another one of my aunts, since her husband passed away and that she was alone, and her brother-in-law was there.  That took a while, we didn't get back home until around 11:00, and didn't stay long before we took a cab out to celebrate New Years Eve the right way.

And there we were, sitting in a cab, traffic all around us, clock's ticking away, it was obvious that Times Square wasn't going to be our destination anymore, as there was no possible way to get there (I can no longer complain about how bad Manhattan traffic is).  We went to Olympic City instead, which offers a view across the bay to Times Square.  Running past many MANY people, we raced against time to get a good view and 20 minutes and a couple thousand people later we acheived our goal ....so to speak.    ....

A beautiful sight huh?

Much Ado About Hypotheticals

okay, first of all, long time no see people, I'm currently writing to you on my cousin's computer from HK.   I've missed you guys (some more than others)  Okay there's a scenario I need an answer on:

Let's say, hypothetically, that 'Guy A' likes 'Girl B', 'Guy A really likes 'Girl B', but 'Guy A has a gut feeling that 'Girl B' thinks that'Guy A' is a teeny bit clingy, which he is not ...., and 'Guy A' really wants to not totally fuck up his chances with 'Girl B'....so what should 'Guy A' do in this case, should 'Guy A' call 'Girl B' and talk to her about it, or should he wait until another, more suitable time.....What's a 'Guy A' to do...hypothetically speaking?

EDIT: Oh, btw, if you're wondering about the trip, I'm probably going post the details of it on my MySpace, because everyone has it, clearly...

EDIT 2: Btw, if you're also wondering why I'm up at 4:44 local time, it's not because of jet lag (of which I didn't experience any), it's because someone had to wake me in the middle of the night to look for my passport (which was conveniently place in plain sight, maybe you really CAN hide things in plain view huh?  awesome!  And now, I roam the streets of Hong Kong at 4:45am, think I'll find anything?

Words, Baad

Having to go to school on a Sunday = bad

Having to go to school on a Sunday right after a late night out = pretty bad

Having to go to school on a Sunday right after a late night out that involves drinking = REALLY bad

Having to go to school on a Sunday right after a late night out that involves drinking and barely any sleep = ....

~~~
....that is all, now I go crash for the next 8 hours
EDIT: did I mention that the class is at 8:15, and I am in no way a morning person
